Bobby was my husbands Uncle.  I'd like to share with you a few things I know about him.  He was the youngest of four children born to Leo and Agnes Rooney.  He was born in Bend, Oregon, but shortly after his birth the family moved to Portland, Oregon.  When Bobby was sixteen his father became ill, and so he had to find work.  He moved to Los Angeles where the jobs were.  He lived with his brother Bill and his sister-in-law Dorothy.  Then he was called to serve in the Army during the Korean conflict.  Upon his safe return home he met his young bride Barbara.  They had their children, Brian and Annetta.  Bobby and Barbara had a beautiful home which was always open to family and friends.  They had what we all aspire to have!  By my account, Bobby had all the qualities of a good man; honest, hardworking, faithful.  He will always be fondly remembered by myself, his great-nephew Patrick Rooney and his great-niece Colleen Engle.
