Robert Hernandez Garcia

Robert H. Garcia, 65, of Fontana, passed away on November 3, 2013 at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland. He was born November 17, 1947 at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland and resided in Indio, Palmdale, LaVerne and Chino throughout his life until finally moving to Fontana. Robert was a microwave technician for the Coachella Water District for 15 years. He was part of the graduating class of 1965 at Chino High School. He attended Cal Poly Pomona until joining the U.S. Air Force and serving at Udorn AB, Thailand from 1972 to 1974. Once he completed his service, Robert went to work for General Dynamics in Pomona, Dreyden Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB, AT&T Long Lines in Los Angeles and finally the Coachella Water District. Robert is survived by his sister Irene Franco of Chino, brother David Garcia of Fontana, sister and husband Alice and Derrick Wright of Tucson, Arizona and nephew Matthew Blades of Chino. He is preceded in death by his younger brother John Garcia. In memory of Robert Hernandez Garcia, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
