Paula was my beautiful sister. She was intelligent, successful, stylish, stubborn and didn't hold a grudge. She loved her family and boasted about her beautiful grandchildren. I'm so glad she was fortunate to spend more time with them. 
Paula loved to do battle for the unfortunate - through her work and her accomplishments she showed a tough exterior but she had a big heart. She always worked to make things better for those in need whether they were patients, clients or the incarcerated who suffered with mental illness. 
She always had a smile to share regardless of whether she was in pain or just enjoying life. Recently, Paula accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was so full of joy when she said that she knew her sins were forgiven and she was assured eternity with God in heaven. 
Paula enjoyed life, loved the beach and spending time with those she loved. I admired her for being so brave. I will miss her very much but know I'll see her again. 
August 22 we will celebrate Paula's life with a Memorial Service but it's also the birth date of our younger sister, Norma, who passed away in 1991. I will remember both Paula and Norma always with much love.

My deepest condolences to all the family.  Paula and I were best friends through high school and recently we reconnected.  I am so blessed that we had a chance to talk  and at the same time sadden that we didn't have more time.  May you rest in peace my friend.
