Joao A. Bernardo, born on March 21, 1959, in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, passed away on his 66th birthday, March 21, 2025.
Joao made Chino, California, his home for the past 44 years, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his three brothers, four sisters, eleven nieces and nephews, and eighteen great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom cherished his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
A Mass in his honor will be held on April 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5048 D Street, Chino, CA, immediately followed by burial services at Holy Cross Cemetery, 444 E. Lexington Ave., Pomona, CA.
Joao’s presence brought warmth and joy to those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
