Mrs. Virginia Norma McCraw, 93 of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018 at Lexington Health Care in Lexington. Mrs. McCraw was born on April 21, 1925 in Patrick County, Va. She was the daughter of the late Carl Martin and Brooksie Nunn. Her husband, Alonzo Marvin McCraw, also predeceased her. Mrs. McCraw was graduated from Traphill High School is Lester, W. Va. in 1943. She enjoyed sewing and especially making her own clothing. She enjoyed arts and crafts as a hobby and visiting with family and very much enjoyed the Martin family reunions. Mrs. McCraw worked as a timekeeper and became a supervisor in Cannon Mills, retiring after 30 years of service. She attended Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald McCraw; sister in-law, Elizabeth Martin; nephews in-law, Jesse and James Frye; and nieces, Dona Guy and Joni Roseman. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Service: A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. McCraw will be held at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Keith Bingham of Oak Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Mrs. McCraw. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is serving the family.
