I've known Roger since I was 15.
He was a wonderful man: genuine, fun, clever, witty, kind. He didn't censer himself, he said exactly what was on his mind, that was fun most of the time...
I used to lock my keys in the car a lot (yes, I still do), Roger wanted to solve that, so he made me a spectacular key-chain with a split-ring on 1 end & a handcuff on the other! Still have it, 45 years & it still works & gets lots of attention!
I think of him often & I smile, always will.
I can only imagine what a great father & husband he must have been, how much fun you all must have had together, his presence is such a loss for his family, my heart goes out to you & I will keep you all in my prayers, god bless

I've known Roger for 10yrs and 4yrs of that 10 was while I was at Chaffee. He would show me a few knowledgeable things about pumps and motors. He would help me out when no one would. Kinda felt like he took me under his wings as a father. I will always remember a saying that he would say. "Remember I can do your job but you can't do mine" LOL I will always remember that. Good memories for sure. He will be greatly missed. Take care my friend... RIP

I worked in the oil field for 25 + years with Roger, there are parts changers and there are mechanics, Roger was a mechanic.  We shared many laughs together and had a lot of good times.  God Speed my friend, See ya on the other side.    Ron Black

I was very sorry to hear of Rogers passing and my prayers are with his family.  I worked at Thums for many years with Roger.  We worked in different departments, I worked in Production and Drilling, but we used to see each other often at work, our shifts being much different.  We were smoking buddies and both outspoken, so we always got along well.  I retired from Thums at the same time as Roger and we spent a few months right before discussing what to do and relaying what we had heard.  I will miss his honesty, kindness, quick wit and sense of humor.
