Mr Phillip R. Barnhardt

He was born on January 3, 1957 in Iredell County and was the son of the late John Murray Barnhardt and Velma Johnson Barnhardt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.

He was a graduate of South Rowan High School and was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Early in his career, he worked for China Grove Cotton Mills and then at Cannon Mills.

Later in life, he worked for Westvaco in Charlotte in the printing department. In his spare time, Phillip enjoyed growing flowers and going fishing.

Those left with cherished memories are his wife of 48 years, Shanna McCarter Barnhardt, his sons Chad Barnhardt (Brandi) and Larry Barnhardt and his grandsons Matthew Barnhardt and Owen Hartman.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 10:00 am till 11:00 am at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, with graveside service to follow at 11:30 at West Lawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Steve Holshouser, officiating.
