Mrs. Nancy Fesperman Scarborough, age 86 of China Grove, left for her heavenly home on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born August 28, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, Nancy was the daughter of the late William John Henry Fesperman and Maggie May Casper Fesperman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Franklin Scarborough. Nancy was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of China Grove.
Living her dream of raising a family, Nancy spent her time caring for her home and caring for her children. Her greatest love was babysitting. She LOVED babysitting – she cared for all her grandchildren when they were growing up and loved babysitting for other children also. Nancy loved Jesus, going to church and reading one of her many bibles. She made so many notes, but took such care as to not make a mark in her bible.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Frank Scarborough (Linda), Gary Scarborough and Sharon Eagle (Ted). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Committal Service for Nancy will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at West Lawn Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Trent Drye. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you kindly remember Nancy with memorials in her honor to either First Baptist Church of China Grove, 302 Patterson Street, China Grove, NC 28023 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. The family wishes to give their sincerest appreciation to Sharon and Sammy from Hospice of Cabarrus County for the loving care given to their mother during her illness. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.linn-honeycutt.com. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Scarborough.
