Born to her wonderful late parents, Johnny and Mary Swinson Morgan, on September 22, 1948 in Cabarrus County, Linda loved her Lord and read her bible daily. One of her favorite pastimes was singing, and she was featured on the radio for years in her youth. She was a social butterfly and loved to be the center of attention. Linda was known for her unique sense of style, always dancing to the beat of her own drum. She was very proud of her Lumbee heritage and volunteered in local schools to educate children about Native history.
In the last years, she has enjoyed many trips with her beloved family, including Disney, Anna Marie Island, Destin, Venice Beach, and Kure Beach - which was a 75th birthday celebration with her daughters.
In her free time, she loved doing crosswords and kicking everyone’s butts at Jeopardy. She thrived in the outdoors, showing a special talent for gardening, even having her beautiful gardens featured in the Salisbury Post.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, William Steven Bullaboy; daughters, Melissa Bullaboy Quick (Shannon) and Dee Bullaboy (Rodney Boatwright); grandchildren, Ava Quick (Jared), Bethany Whitaker, Mason Barnes and Emily Barnes; great-grandchildren, Atlas Woodward, Buck, Indigo, Goldie and Salvador Gallarini - and her favorite grand-dog, Frida.
Part of a large family, she is preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” Morgan and Jimmy Ray Morgan and one sister, Betty Gibson.
One brother, Johnny Morgan and two sisters, Peggy Allmon and Brenda Hopkins, also survive Linda - in addition to a host of “adopted” children and grandchildren over the years, being “mama” to many more than her biological children.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Zachary Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Levine Children’s Hospital.
