John “Scott” Pope, age 51 of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, November 4, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born April 10, 1970 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Doris Brooks Pope and the late John W. Pope. In addition to his father, who passed away in September 2010, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Walsh Pope on October 6, 2020. He was of Presbyterian faith and loved the Lord
Scott attended Jackson Park Elementary School and then attended A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis. He worked as a brick mason and building log homes during his career. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and taking trips to the mountains.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Doris Brooks Pope. He also leaves behind his brother, Dennis Pope (Crystal) and his sisters, Tina Ingram (Robin) of Locust and Crystal Burris of Concord.
No services are scheduled at this time.
