Born on October 11, 1925 in Yadkin County, he was the son of the late Julius Ray Lynch and Sarah Algood Lynch. He served his country in the US Navy. Mr. Lynch was a charter member of Crown Point Baptist Church. His church meant a lot to him and he attended church as much as he could up to the end. James worked for many years in the textile industry, as a production supervisor at Linn Corriher Mills.
His love of being outdoors gave him the opportunity to work for several cemeteries in the area in lawn maintenance. Being with his family was also very important to him, whether it be with his daughter Donna and their love for raising, riding and showing horses or spending time with his wife of 71 years, Mildred.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Mildred Williams Lynch, daughter Donna Lynch Bowlin (Terry), brother Wayne Lynch (Marie) and sisters Minnie Beatty and Opal Freeman (Elgin). Also surviving him is his grandchild Brandy Blackwell and great grandchildren Lanna and Alyse Blackwell.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Gene Beaver officiating.
