

Herman "Eddie" Shulenburger passed away on August 18, 2024 after a period of declining health. He was born February 19, 1948 to Herman & Carrye Shulenburger in Iredell County. Eddie was a 1966 graduate of South Rowan High School where he met his wife of 57 years, Vicki Condrey.
Eddie's career began at Fiber Industries, and he left to be one of the first hires at Phillip Morris where he was a Boiler Technician until the time he retired in 2003.
He was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, sang in the choir, helped cook Wednesday fellowship dinners and helped out in many other areas. In his younger days, he alongside his beloved brother, played many years of Church league softball, representing St. Mark's.
Eddie loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed many trips with his late Uncle Sam. He was also born and raised a farmer, where he tended to the family farm and often helped out on his Uncle Wayne's farm in Laurel Springs.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Vicki, his sons, John, Chris and Jimmy Shulenburger and daughter, Julie Noblitt(Joey). He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexx Sousa, Lauryn Crandall, Brooke Wiles, Bobby, Arabelle, and Keirra Shulenburger, and his great grandchildren Ashton Caperton, Mkenzi Crandall, Everly Crandall and Raelynn Wiles. He was preceded in death by his brother William Shulenburger and granddaughter Allyson Shulenburger.
Visitation will be Wednesday 8/21/2024 from 6-7 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. The funeral service will be Thursday 8/22/2024 at 11 am at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
