Gordon R. Bromley

Mr. Gordon R. Bromley, 68 of Salisbury, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 20, 2015 at his residence. Born on January 18, 1947 in Gowanda N.Y., he was the son of the late Robert C Bromley and Catherine Bossman Bromley.

Educated in the NY Schools, he served his country for 4 years in the US Air Force, stationed in Europe and met his wife Sity in Holland. Mr. Bromley grew up in Randolph, NY, where he began his career in construction. His whole life, he enjoyed doing woodworking, being outdoors, gardening and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he was survived by his wife Sietske "Sity" Loonstra Bromley to whom he was married for 45 years, and son Jeffrey Gordon Bromley and wife Jeannie of Salisbury and Christopher Robert Bromley and wife Jennifer of Dunedin, Fl. Also surviving him is his sister, Mary Crouse and husband Denny, his brothers Dick Bromley and Bob Bromley and wife Dottie and Charley Bromley and wife Loui. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Ashley Bromley, Jonathan Bromley and Jacob Bromley.

He also was survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:30 till 4:30 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with memorial service at 5:00 also at the funeral home.
