Mrs. Edna Cannon Parker passed away peacefully at the Laurels of Salisbury, NC on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born on January 2, 1944 to Arthur Burns Cannon and Annie Parker Cannon of Salisbury, NC. She is preceded in death by all of her siblings as listed, Gene Cannon, Richard Cannon, Leon Cannon, Irving Cannon, Jay Cannon ,Glenn Cannon, Darlene Reavis, Ruth Pope and Joyce Cannon. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Rhonda English Heintz and step son Michael Parker. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 43 years, Larry Parker and her children and step children, Ann Keck (Steve), Teresa English, Tammie Foster (Steve), Tim Parker, Trena McDaniel (David) and grandchildren and great grandchildren, Rick Keck (Paula) of Vidor, Texas, Clint Keck, Sharon Foster, Miranda Sexton (Steven), Lexi Foster, Amy Heintz, Randall Heintz, Elizabeth Galloway (Adam),Holly Scott (Bryan), Hope Teal and 11 great grandchildren. Edna worked many years as a spinner at China Grove Cotton Mill. Edna and Larry were members of Memorial Independent Baptist Church in Landis, NC many years ago and briefly taught a children's class and actively worked in the bus ministry until her health failed. The family would like to thank the staff of the Laurels of Salisbury and Carolina Caring Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and kindness shown to Edna while a resident at the Larurels. Our hearts are heavy but also rejoicing knowing that she is healed and that we have the hope and promise that we will see her again,.
A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 13, at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Charlotte, 28207 or the Alzheimer's Association, 225 Michigan Avenue, Floor 17 Chicago, Ill. 60601
