Danny Lee Duncan, age 70 of Kannapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home after a brief illness. Mr. Duncan was born in Cabarrus County on September 7, 1949 and was the son of the late William Brice Duncan and Margie Sellers Duncan. Danny graduated from A.L. Brown High School and later went on to join the U.S. Marines, serving in Okinawa. After his service, he became a correctional officer working at the Huntersville Correctional Center for many years. He loved to go fishing, playing the guitar and messing with computers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Karen Rumple Duncan, his son, Tommy Rogers (Carole), and daughters, Dawn Spry, Dana Harris (Brian), Leslie Duncan (Natasha) and Elizabeth Jackson (Josh). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Amy Woodruff, B.J. Rogers, Kayla Harris, Brianna Harris, Angela Marroquin, Taylor Ramsey and Mackenzie Jackson, along with great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Woodruff, Shawn Woodruff and Austin Woodruff.
Visitation for Danny will be on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10:00 - 11:00am at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service beginning at 11:00am also at the funeral home.
