Carol was born on October 25, 1937 in Rowan County, NC to the late Dallas and Sylvia Cook Spears. She graduated from Landis High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Max Cook (Frances) and Ronnie Spears (Penny).
Carol was a hard worker, having retired after 25 years of employment with Hoechst Celanese. In her spare time she enjoyed cracking pecans. She called this her therapy, as she received much pleasure doing this.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynn Martin (Randy) of Ringgold, Ga, one son Billy A. Honeycutt. Jr. (Wanda), Grandchildren Zachary Martin, Carl Richard Martin (Katie), Kendall Ruth Martin, Taylor Honeycutt (Brittany), John Honeycutt (Jamie) and Rachel Hopkins (Nicolas), and great grandchildren Easton Rorex, Emmalynn Martin, Noah Honeycutt, Elijah Honeycutt and Stella Ruth Honeycutt, Hampton Martin, Katie Mae Martin and Collier Martin and several nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove on Wednesday February 22, 2023 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm and a graveside service that will begin at 2:30 pm at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family would like to acknowledge the care that Carol received from Community Hospice and care giver Wanda Carter.
