Brandy Shay Blackwell

Brandy Shay Bowlin Blackwell, age 44 of China Grove passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center. Born on August 9, 1978 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of Terry Bowlin (Donna) and Dari Haynes Wilkerson (Pat). Brandy was a graduate of South Rowan High School and went on to graduate from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor degree in Communications.

She worked for 22 years at Easter Seals. Brandy had a great passion for working with children and loved helping them develop. She also had a great love for music. She was a loving caring mother to her girls Lanna and Alyse Blackwell. Others left to cherish her memory are her sister Camry Wagner, brother Colby Wagner, grandparents Charlie and Wanda Haynes and Peggy Bowlin, Aunt Jayna Bowlin, Uncle Brandon Bowlin, Aunt Melanie Hatley and Uncle John Hatley as well as numerous cousins and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be on Saturday December 17, 2022 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove from 1:00 till 2:00 and funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home.
