Born in Cabarrus County on October 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Conley Moore and Nellie Goodnight. Bobby attended Cabarrus County schools; was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and served in the United States Army.
He retired from Cannon Mills after 42 years in the spinning room. In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Louise Goodnight, who died September 7, 1994.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Christopher “Chris” Goodnight and one sister, Linda Hodge.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 1 – 2 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM in the chapel with burial to follow with military honors at Carolina Memorial Park.
