Bobbie Jean Simmons

Bobbie Jean Simmons, age 75, of China Grove passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Simmons was born on April 6, 1947 in Kershaw County, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late James Deas and Bessie Ivey Deas.

She was employed earlier in life with Linn Corriher Mills and later went to work for and retired from Rusher Oil Company. When she was not at work, you could find her fishing in some of her favorite spots or spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brothers Lewis and Coleman Deas and sister Margie Stevens. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Donald Simmons, her daugher Jeannie Simmons (Luanita), and sons David Simmons, Keith Simmons (Rose) and James SImmons (Julie), as well as her brothers William Deas, Joseph Deas, and sisters Eliza Stevens, Betty Starnes, Donna Price and Maxine Stogner. Also surviving her are her 10 grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove from 10:00 am till 11:00 am with funeral service at 11:00 am also at the funeral home with Lee Boone, officiating.
