Born in Lincolnton, NC on September 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Jesse F. Anthony and Avie Schronce Anthony.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie Jean was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Garland Franklin Lambert “Sonny”; one son, Dale F. Lambert; three brothers, Marshall Anthony, Phillip Anthony and wife Mot, and Russell Anthony and wife Broadus; two sisters, Rosalee Ross and husband, Cliff and Margaret Houk and husband, Babe; and two step-grandsons, Rodney Ferguson and Jeff Ferguson.
Bobbie Jean worked at China Grove Cotton Mills for 40+ years. She loved to attend The Well Community Church and Piedmont Baptist Church.
She was a very outgoing lady. She loved her family greatly and was a devoted “Maw-Maw”. Bobbie Jean loved to go camping at the beach and sharing her faith in the Lord with others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David A. Lambert (Kim), Debbie Williams and Donna Wright (Danny); seven grandchildren, Misty Durham (Kelly), Jodi Kinley (Chris), Brittney Golden (Nick), Dillon Wright (Savanah), Zach Williams (Lauren), Dallus Pope (Leo) and Dakotah Willis (Hunter); step-grandson, Kenny Ferguson (Ginger); daughter-in-law, Ann Lambert and sister-in-law, Kathy Anthony.
She is further survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren with one on the way and one great-great grandchild and one on the way.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 13, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Ronnie James officiating. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
