Austin "Buddy" McCoy Stroud

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stroud was preceded in death by his brothers; Elbert, James, Daustin, and Stanford; sister, Viola; son, Tim; and daughter, Tammy.

When health allowed, Mr. Austin was a faithful member of Main Street Baptist Church of China Grove. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fabricating, and gardening. He will be remembered as a man who could build anything.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of forty-seven years, Peggy Stroud; sisters, Colleen, Louise, and Elouise; sons, Scott, and Herbert; daughters, Melanie, and Diana; his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, North Carolina with a celebration of life service to follow.
