It is with deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Shirley Rose Doolan of Chilliwack, Oct 19th 2024. She was born in Vancouver, May 12th, 1942 to Elmore and Rose Ayers. Survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Brian, who was her constant companion and best friend, her sons; Jeff (Laura) and Steve (Carolyn), grandchildren; Taylor Doolan (Aynsleah) and Katey Sarrazin (Dom), and great grandchildren; Theo, Sebastien, and Audrey. Also left to mourn are siblings; Bette Jean Ayers (Al) and Howard Ayers (Ida). Extended Family include Collette Burke and David Herman, and sons Sean, Adam, Daniel, and Michael.
Shirley had a wonderful 25 year career with Canada Manpower and was admired and respected by her colleagues. She had a gift for helping others and was well suited for the position. She was a great listener and a kind, generous, and accepting person.
She enjoyed to travel and spent many winters in Palm Desert. She was an exceptional cook, baker, and gardener. Many family memories were created at the Mt. Baker campsite with bonfires, horseshoes and marshmallow roasts.
To know her was to love her. Shirley was a blessing to all who knew her and will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of life for Shirley will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Henderson's Funeral Home & Crematorium, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P2S9
