Rudy was born in Chilliwack, (Greendale) BC, where he continued to live the rest of his life with the exception of a short time spent in High River, Alberta. Rudy was predeceased by his parents, Brother John and Sister Ann, as well as his grandchild Jason.
Rudy spent his working life as the owner of his own logging company as well as running businesses in the cedar shake industry. He had a very strong work ethic that he lived by and passed this on to his children, for which we are grateful. He was always an easy going man with a smile for everyone.
In his retirement years, he spent time camping and fishing with his second wife Valarie. He was also a self-taught woodworker. He made many pieces of furniture and various other pieces for his children and grandchildren. He was a man of many talents but mostly he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Rudy leaves behind his wife of 37 years Valarie, children from his first wife, Betty (Orland), Les (Caroline), and Susan (Sonny). Step children Darren (Shannon) and Scott (Cynthia) Barber, grandchildren Jeanine, Ryan, Brandi, Jennifer, Josh, Taylor, Emma and Megan great grandchildren Elija, Joshua, Brooklyn, Kamille, Jaiden and Kessler. He also leaves behind two sisters Erna & Olga.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Park Place, Agassiz for their kindness and making Rudy’s final days comfortable.
Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
