Mary was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on April 19, 1942 to the late Harold and Edith (nee Wilbur) Lambert.
Mary will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 60 years James Charles (Jim) LeBlanc,
sons Steven (Sue) in Sarnia, Ont. and Kevin (Shawna) in Chilliwack, B.C., her beloved
grandchildren James in Chilliwack, Mitchell (Allie) in Toronto, Jackie in Sarnia, Lindsey in
Petrolia and great grandchildren Kayleigh and Hudson in Petrolia and also by her many
cherished nieces and nephews.
Mary will always be in the hearts of her brother Edward (Gail) Lambert of Kanata, Ont, and sister
Lorraine Landry (Philip Merrithew) of Woodstock, N.B. and sister Terry Finnigan (John Hanrahan) of Halifax, N.S.
Mary was predeceased by her older brother Derrik (Wanda) of Southampton, N.S. and younger brother Hal (Lynn) of Saint John, N.B.
Mary and Jim made their home in Saint John, N.B for 63 years, enjoying summers in St.
Andrews and the Belleisle Bay as well as travels in North America and Europe.
In 2005 Mary and Jim moved to B.C. making their home first in Campbell River and
subsequently in Chilliwack. Mary took up residence in the Heritage Village Long Term Care
Facility in Chilliwack in 2018 where she received wonderful support from their caring and
compassionate staff.
Mary adored her family and she will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for
her beautiful smile, her incredible wit and humour and her kind and generous heart. She will
be dearly missed.
Rest in peace Mary - you will always be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held in Ottawa at a later date.
