MK ... I felt so lucky to have had you work at the work station right beside me at Nexus. I really got to know the great person that you were. You were honest straight forward, genuine, didn’t put up with any B.S. & I admired that. You had a wonderful sense of humour. I always remember the time Diane, you & I went across the Street for lunch and you said we should get a glass of wine so we did but had no idea they would be that large lol I am so happy that Bunt, Isabel & myself did all those road trips in the last few years to Chilliwack to spend time with you & have lunch together. Your fighting spirit & determination to beat the horrible disease will always stay with me. You became your own Activist. We had some lunches at The Restaurant but my fav memories were being at your house sitting around the table talking laughing....no subject was off the table. Our many chats will always stay with me. The love of your sons, sisters, your doggies, your friends, all animals, flowers & plants and your enthusiasm for life really made me stop, pause & appreciate all of that even more. You loved your garden and would give me so many helpful tips. When my friend Annie asked me if she could talk to you for support as you were going through the same type of cancer you didn’t hesitate to say yes. Even though you never met in person you had many conversations & I know Annie was so appreciative. Just goes to show what kind of person you were. You had such a profound affect on me & I will always treasure our friendship but most of all I’ll always treasure you. I love you MK & I will always miss you. Rest easy my friend. xoxo 

I am so very sorry to hear of MK's passing.   I worked with MK for years at CBSA (Nexus) and I truly enjoyed her wonderful sense of humour and how much she cared about her family, friends, co-workers and furbabies.  MK will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  My deepest condolences to MK's family.  May time help ease the pain in losing such a beautiful person.  RIP my friend.
