Margaret Louise Jack

It is with deep sadness that the family of Margaret (Peggi) Louise Jack (Dunphy) announce her passing on December 8, 2024, in Chilliwack, B.C., after a brief battle with cancer. Margaret is survived by her daughters Carleen Kay, Lynette Streifel, and Marlo Heyer (Richard) and her brother Michael Dunphy (Bobbie) as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harold Lee and Margaret Dunphy, her brother Allan Dunphy and her sisters Maureen Rouse and Terry Lynne Dunphy.

Margaret was born in Edson, Alberta on May 3, 1949, where the family moved to Grande Prairie and then to Calgary, Alberta. She spent most of her life working in Western Canada and the Yukon before settling in Chilliwack, B.C., where she enjoyed the milder winters with friends and family. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends and creative writing.

A private family memorial will be held in the spring of 2025.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation, in lieu of flowers.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Cascade Hospice, Chilliwack Hospital and Dr. Fares who tended to Margaret’s care and comfort.
