Kay Lohnes passed away peacefully on September 18, 2013 at Chilliwack BC at the age of 91. She was born in Heart’s Content, Newfoundland and raised in Heart’s Delight, Newfoundland. She married the late Marvin Richard Lohnes in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1944, lived and raised her family in Halifax, Gander, and Montreal before moving to Tsawwassen BC in 1973. She resided in Chilliwack BC since 2006. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her sons Paul (Christiane), Keith (Judy), Bruce (Darlene) and grandchildren Ryan, Shannon (Jeff), Janice and Kirsten, and great grandson Evan. She was predeceased in 2004 by her husband of 60 years, Marvin Richard Lohnes. A Celebration of Life Service and reception following will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Tsawwassen United Church, 693 53rd St., Delta BC V4M 3B6; Reverend Daniel Kirkegaard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kay’s name to Tsawwassen United Church, 693 53rd St., Delta BC V4M 3B6.
