It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Allan Leask passed away surrounded by family on July 10, 2023. Allan was born to Colin and Ethel Leask in March 1936, the youngest of 6. He was raised on a dairy farm in Clandeboye, Manitoba, which he later purchased and ran.
In 1965, Allan the farmer married city girl Jean Brown. Together, they ran the farm until 1967 when they relocated to Rosedale, British Columbia. Two years later, they moved to Agassiz and welcomed their first and only child, Shaaron. In 1980, the small family moved to Chilliwack. Allan was a man of many talents which led him through a variety of careers. He was a farmer, a milker and labourer with the Agassiz Research Station, a Radio Dispatcher, and a Prison Guard at the Chilliwack RCMP branch.
Allan had a passion for cooking, baking, crocheting, and sewing. He loved spending time with friends and family, most especially with his two grandchildren. Allan leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Jean, his daughter, Shaaron, his two grandchildren Tyler (Kerri) and Marlee, as well as nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.
Allan was known for always having a smile on his face. No matter the situation, a smile could always be seen.
You came into and left this world with a smile.
