It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom Helen Hildebrandt. Mom passed away on January 20th surrounded by her family. Mom will be sadly missed by her family Frank Jr. (Karen), Ann, Ernie (Kerry) and by her 6 grandchildren, Dean, Sheldon (Lisa) Dayne (Carmen) Darrin (Terri) Jesse(Chelsea) Bryanne (Dustin) and by her 9 great-grandchildren Corey (Jess) Morgan, Tyler, Kyle (Alexis) Carter, Shanna, Kayle, Kellan and Ellie.
Mom was born May 30,1927 in Neuendorf Ukraine to the loving parents Abram and Anna Niebuhr . Mom was the fourth of their family of five children. And is survived by one brother Peter(Susan)Niebuhr.
Mom married Dad in 1947, they were Married for 69 years until Dad's passing in 2016.
Mom and Dad immigrated to Canada in 1948.
Mom loved her family so much and had a significant place in her heart for each one. She dedicated herself to making a home for her family where everyone was always welcomed. Her cooking and gardening skills were amazing. Mom and Dad joined the River of Life Church shortly after their arrival in Canada and remained there until their passing.
Mom's faith was strong, she modeled daily what Christianity is and was a role model for others. Mom was a very unique woman, her wisdom, and views on how to treat others and except all shortcomings was something to pay attention too. She welcomed everyone she met into her heart with warmth love, never judgmental and was so humble beyond what any words could ever express. She is an inspiration to us all. We will always keep her deep inside of us. you have taught us life lessons that will remain with us forever. Don't know if we can carry it off with the Grace, love and dignity that you did but you gave us the tools, and that was your biggest gift to us all.

The family would like to send their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Markey, Dr. Wolff and all of the office staff at the Young Clinic, when you live to be 94 your medical and health care services become a large part of your life and Mom was blessed with the best of the best. Thank you all so much your compassion and care to her it never once went unnoticed.
Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday January 27 viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 at River of Life Church, 42369 South Sumas Road, Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers please use this opportunity to donate to Childrens Hospital. This was a cause that was very dear to her heart.
