Born in Vienna, Austria, Hedy trained as a medical X-Ray technician, doing this work her entire working career. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 and lived in Montreal until retiring in 1981. Upon retiring, she moved to Chilliwack, British Columbia, because it reminded her of Austria. Her passions in life were flowers, mountains, weaving and her seven dogs. She is survived by her niece, Pia Davis, and nephew, Paul Atkinson, both of whom live in the United States. Thank you, Hedy, for your joy of life, and your role-modelling of resilience and letting go. We will miss you!
