George Albert Miller passed away on January 26th 2024 after a brief stay in Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack BC. George was born in Fort William (Thunder Bay ON.) on October 11 1938. He moved his family to Prince George BC in 1968 where he worked as a Millwright. In 1980 he married Terri and they blended their 2 families, Murray, Holly, Jodi, Jasmine, Ryan, Tera and in 1987 Alex joined the family.
George worked at PG Pulp then at the City of PG. In 1983 he started a Christmas Tree Farm, it soon became his passion, he also sold evergreen trees for landscaping.
His trees can be seen all over Prince George. In 2008 George and Terri moved to Agassiz to retire, however he didn’t really understand what that meant and went back to work as a Caretaker. His other passion was building a 1960’s Sprint Car which he did from scratch and was able to get it licensed as street legal. He also loved to cook and created many wonderful meals.
However George’s deepest passion was always his family. He deeply loved his wife and children. No father was prouder of each and everyone of his 7 children, No Grandfather “According to him” had more amazing grandchildren (Stewart, Jenna, Jake, Jacklyn, Cory, Delaney, Kate, Max, Koa, Josie, Jackson and great granddaughter Aubree). He also profoundly loved his God, Jesus was honoured in his house.
A celebration of life will be held at Midtown Church in Chilliwack in July when the children who are out of the country will be able to attend.
