With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Felicitas Bruce, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, who was called home to her eternal rest on March 14, 2025, at Chilliwack General Hospital. She was 82 years old.
Born on June 1, 1942, in Tatlong Maria, Taal, Batangas, Felicitas lived a life of faith, humility, and service. As a loving housewife and a skilled dressmaker, she poured her heart into her family, clothing them not just with garments of her hands but with love, wisdom, and faith.
She was the beloved mother of Brando, Urmina, Christopher, Erlyne, and Ferdinand, the cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren, and the joyful great-grandmother of 2 great-grandchildren.
A woman of Proverbs 31 virtue, Felicitas was the heart of her home—diligent in her work, gentle in her words, and steadfast in her faith. She reflected Christ’s love in her selfless care, ensuring that her home was filled with warmth, prayer, and the fragrance of grace. Her hands were never idle, always serving, always giving, always embracing with love.
She was a beacon of patience, a refuge of understanding, and a quiet force of strength, encouraging her children to walk in righteousness and trust in the Lord. In her quiet way, she led her family by example, teaching them to seek God first in all things.
Though her earthly journey has ended, we find peace in the promise of John 11:25 – "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." We rejoice, knowing that she now rests in the arms of her Savior, clothed in glory and welcomed with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).
