Annie Sagert

Annie (nee Janzen) Sagert went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2016 at the age of 96 years. She was born in Changrau, Russia to David and Tina Janzen on November 4, 1920 and married Dan Sagert in 1949.

She was a Christian who prayed daily for her family and had a mirrored wall in her room with their pictures. She welcomed everyone and turned away no one: we will miss her humour, stories, cooking, baking but mostly the encouragement and love she showed all of us.

She is predeceased by her husband Dan Sagert, as well as sons-in-laws Tony Gagne and Norbert Jacques. She will be missed by her children Jim (Dorthea) Sagert, Rick (Martha) Sagert, Dave (Leslie) Sagert, Judy Jacques, Carol Gagne as well as 33 grandchildren (including spouses), 24 great grandchildren as well as her siblings Henry Janzen, David (Polly) Janzen, Mary (Art) Ewers, and sister in law Margaret Lepp.

On Friday, December 9, 2016 there will be an opportunity for viewing at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 1:00 Graveside Service at Chilliwack Cemetery, 2:30 Celebration at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, all in Chilliwack.
