Private Family Graveside service for James Byron Wilkerson, age 91, of Childersburg will be Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Wilsonville Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Parvin officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel.
Mr. Wilkerson passed away May 4, 2020 in Trussville.
Born in LaFayette, he was preceded in death by his wife: Wilma Wilkerson, son: Donnie Wilkerson, his parents, brother and four sisters.
He retired from Alabama Power after 33 years of service, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Childersburg and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors are his son: Kenneth Wilkerson, daughters: JoAnn Wilkerson Brock (Alan), Rita Piper (Chick), sister: Billie Reeves and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
