Mr. James Alvin Harbin

Mr. James Alvin Harbin, age 90, of Childersburg, died April 9, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ida Harbin; son, Michael Harbin; sister, Lestie Lawrence; sister, Vernell Self; sister, Norlene Harbin; and brother, Coy Harbin. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Harbin of Childersburg; son, Gary Harbin and wife, Marquita of Childersburg; daughter, Phyllis Watson and husband, Phillip of Hazel Green, AL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Talvage Harbin of Haleyville, AL and R.C. Harbin of Georgia; and sister, Marie Boce of Muscle Shoals. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at Childersburg Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Chad Dollahite and Brother Mike Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Harbin, Lee Bailey, Aaron Murchison, Brent Watson, Lance Watson, and Garry Green.
