Beloved husband of the late Pauline T. Wohlrab; Loving father of David (Carol) Wohlrab and Jean (Bob) Quetsch. Devoted grandfather of Rachael (Ryan) Perry; Lauren Wohlrab (Jake Muszczynski); and Adam Quetsch (Emmaline Jurgena).
Preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Richard Wohlrab, and his sister, Dorothy Graves, along with in-laws Verne Graves, Albert Simon, Frieda Simon, Edward and Helen Payer, and Eugene and Theresa Daniels. Survived by sister-in-laws Dolores Wohlrab and Rebecca Simon. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Walter served in the United States Army in the Asian Pacific Theater. He was employed by Commonwealth Edison for forty-five years prior to his retirement.
Visitation Friday, May 27, 2022, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8550 South Kedvale Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60652, with Funeral Service following at 10:00 am - The Rev. George J. Mrochen officiating.
Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 South Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
