Valentino "Boy" Mesina Garcia

Valentino “Boy” Garcia, 80 of Chicago, Illinois passed away on April 3rd 2025 while surrounded in love and support with his two children by his side. Boy was born in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija Philippines on February 14, 1945.

Boy was the beloved husband of the late Estelita R Garcia with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage.

Boy enjoyed spending countless hours with family and friends in the ‘infamous garage’ playing mahjong, watching his favorite sports, and eating all of his favorite foods. He always made people laugh with his legendary sense of humor, contagious laughter, and his endless jokes. He will be best remembered for his passion for life even in adversity, his generosity with his time as he helped everyone in need, and his mega-watt smile.

Boy is survived by his adoring children, Valerie and Val Jr. his sister Aida G Abella, and an uncle to many nieces, nephews, and countless godchildren in birth and in marriage. Boy is preceded by death by his parents Fausto and Miguela Garcia as well as his sister Lina G Royal.

Family and Friends will gather for a visitation for Boy that will be on Saturday, April 12, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Malec & Son Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Following a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 7211 W. Talcott Ave. Chicago, IL 60631.
