Tito was born in Chicago, IL on June 28, 1944 and grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood. He graduated from Hyde Park High School and was an active athlete and band member, skilled in the trumpet.
In 1965, he was drafted into the US Army, during the Vietnam War, and served a tour of duty from 1966 to 1967. He was honorably discharged with a final rank of Sergeant E-5. Upon his return from the military, he used the GI Bill to gain some trade skills and that would help himself and numerous others. For most of his post military career, he served in management positions where he used his communication and organization skills to run and manage in different companies.
As an active athlete, he sustained several injuries, one of which required him to be in the hospital. It was here where he met Felicita Rodriguez, who helped care for his wounds. They were later married on August 28, 1971 and welcomed their only daughter, Magdalena, a year later in December. Tito and Felicita were married for 43 years before she passed away in 2014.
In 2020, Tito was diagnosed with ALS and beginning in 2022, he spent his remaining years in a nursing home, as his disease progressed. He continued being cared for by his daughter and son-in-law and was consistently visited by many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, dear sister Leota, and loving wife Felicita.
Tito is survived by his daughter Maggie, son-in-law Hanz, granddaughter Adella and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
