Thuy Thi Le, known as Le Thi Thuy in Vietnam, was born in Ninh Binh, Vietnam on June 15, 1922, and born into eternity on May 28, 2015 in Niles, Illinois; beloved sister of Le Thi Chin; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews: Nguyen Bich Van, Nguyen Hai Bang, Le Dinh Tuan, Le Dinh Khoi, Le Tuyet Trinh, Le Tuyet Mai, Tran Mong Hai, Tran Quy Trung, Tran Thi Kim Loan, Tran Van Khang, Tran Van Duong, Le Thi My Dung, Le Thi My Nhan, Le Mong Hoan, Le Manh Hung, Le Manh Tuan, Le Minh Chau, Le Ngoc Bao, and friend of many.
Throughout her life of more than nine decades, she always mirrored an example of integrity, independence, courage and determination. She was a successful self-made business woman in Vietnam, effectively managed her children clothing store Kim-Hoa with 17 staff members, making and selling children clothes; After coming to the United States, she resettled in Chicago, acquired the Associate Degree of Accounting and worked full time until age seventy. Her mind was always sharp at any age; she remembered and wrote poems even after she reached age 90.
