Dearest Dad-

It's been a little over a week since you have passed and I have to say, your send off was beautiful.  The one thing I took comfort in, amidst all the hurt, everyone missing you and the crying, was when the priest said, "Celebrate the 66 years that Tom was given...that we were given with him."  Wow..when you look at it that way, it makes so much sense.  Without us having you for 66 years, I would never have the memories of you that I do.  What Dad would tolerate the non-stop singing of the SAFETY dance..and actually love it!.. while we munched away on Munchos in the car on the way to cheerleading?  Who would make our block parties that much more fun? Shield Chrissy and I from getting into more trouble than we did when we broke the screen window because you knew if Mom got to us first, that would be it!! Ha!!  And most of all, without 66 years with you, who would have encouraged me to belt out my best rendition of Dionne Warwick, get down to Elvis with me and on my wedding day, make sure I had the best darn limo ever!!  You always treated me like your own and that is something I will always cherish and never forget.  Slowly, we'll start to have good days that will lead into better tomorrows and the memories we have of you will bring a smile to our face as we say, yes!...thank God for 66 years with this wonderful man, Thomas Brennan!!...thank God!! xoxo

Miss Terry (Theresa Brennan) spoke highly of Tom. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. It is never an easy task to say goodbye to someone so special in your life.

Brennan family, my deepest sympathy to all of you at this time of sorrow. Mr. Brennan was never selfish and always loving and kind. These are the memories he has left behind. I pray for all of you that you may find comfort in the days ahead.

We traded stories of family and experiences and his travels with Eva. After his work day he always came to us with a "Cheshire grin" and left saying " I have to go wake Mamma".

We did not know Thomas D. very well but do know his son Tom very well. I would bet the farm that the apple don't fall too far from the tree and know he was a special, special, man by judging his sons character.
