With profound sadness, we share that our beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather Thiep Tran, aged 97, passed away on February 26, 2024.
He lived a storied life, immigrating through China, Cambodia, and Vietnam before making Chicago home. He found great joy in sharing with others the stories of his family’s achievements, the lives they built in the US, a source of immeasurable pride for him and his wife. He was a generous and kind man who cared deeply for his family and the communities in which he was a leader both at home and abroad. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was cherished by all whose lives he touched. Please join us in honoring and celebrating Thiep’s long and prosperous life.
A visitation will be held March 7, 2024 from 4 to 8 pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625.
The Funeral service will be held at Drake and Son Funeral Home on March 8, 2024 at 8:30 am and the burial service will be followed at Rosehill Cemetery.
