I am so very sorry to read of your loss. I had the privilege of seeing Terry twenty five years ago. I needed a therapist for marriage counseling. My spouse had finally agreed to go and I couldnt have gotten a better person. He was perfect. He was supportive, kind and honest. Even though I couldn't get my spouse to return, I have never forgotten his advice and have passed it on to many of my friends. He made a huge impact on me. I still have his business card in my wallet. Thank you for sharing him with those in need. May your memories bring you peace.

Terry, tended the hearth and the heart. The first image that comes to mind when I think of Terry, is he and Mary standing arms around each other waving good bye from their porch on an autumn night after one of many gatherings they so often hosted. Terry's warm open smile was one that said sit, stay awhile, how are you?
Though many years have passed since our orbits overlapped, Terry's kindness and his love of his girls and Mary, left a deep impression on me as did his unapologetic, full throated contagious laugh. The loss must be unbearable for you, Mary, Stacey and Elizabeth. We are so very sorry for Terry's suffering and yours, and so very grateful to have known him.

I worked with Terry at the DCFS Wells office when he first started with the agency.  He was an excellent supervisor and a friendly face among the chaos that could be casework at that time.  

I was saddened to hear of his passing and extend my sympathies to his wife and family.

I'm glad to have met Terry last August, if only briefly. Erin and the Springers have recounted numerous family stories about Terry that I have heard.  It's clear he enjoyed a life of service and influence.  I have read thet "there is no legacy more rich for a man than a loving family"  and you have an amazing family.  I'm proud to know you. Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Terry.  He was a great cousin and friend.  I remember fondly the days playing in the ravine by Nelawood.  One of my fondest memories was Trick or Treating with him, dressed as a girl, I believe, and hitting the apartments by his house in East Cleveland.  We made a haul.  He was one of the happiest and funniest people I knew.  He was always happy to see you and made you happy to see him.

I was so happy to see him last year at the reunion and now very glad to have talked to him one last time.

Terry was my first therapist, then a beloved neighbor and friend, along with Mary, Stacy & Elizabeth!  He always encouraged that "times of change were not times to make changes." As one of Liz's best friends, my daughter Amy lived much of her teenage years in Terry and Mary's home. I believe that the adults who surround our children as they grow influence them deeply. In Terry Amy had a profound example of kindness, patience, concern for others, humility, tolerance, good humor and optimism. His warmth, love and genuine interest in her sustained her in countless ways.
