Ted Joseph Mroz, born October 30th 1925 age 98, United States Army Veteran, passed away on Friday November 17th, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and was married to the late Dolores Mroz for 63 years.
He worked for the Arcus Ticket Company for 50 years, making tickets for Chicago sports teams like the Cubs, White Sox, and Blackhawks. While serving in the United States Army, Ted was stationed at Fort Bliss Texas, where he also received a certificate for the Medical Surgical Technician course.
Ted loved to go bowling and fishing with his beloved grandson Douglas. Ted made cherished memories with his wife Dolores and Grandson Douglas at Woodhaven Lakes Camping Resort where they had the best fishing, bbq's and enjoyed the flea markets, country kitchen, and watched Civil War reenactments along with other festivities.
He will be best cherished for being a loving Father to Marica L. Mroz, loving Husband to Dolores Mroz, and Loving Grandfather to Douglas Mroz. When his Daughter Marica Mroz passed over in a car accident at 20 years old, Ted and his wife Dolores took care of her son Douglas Mroz.
After Ted's wife Dolores died, he told his grandson that they have to be there for each other from now on, and for the last 11 years of Ted's time here he was lovingly cared for by Douglas at home with him. Surviving 24 pneumonias, several strokes, and a minor heart attack, Ted lived to be 98 years old. One of the strongest, most loving people ever to walk the face of this Earth, he is now in Paradise with his Wife and Daughter, Mother and Father, and many siblings, awaiting the time Douglas is reunited with them in the Glory of God through Christ his Son.
