Stanley Kozlowski, 87, of Chicago, IL; born in Huta Szklana, Poland near Kielce, Poland; passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Connecticut. Stanley came to America in December 1950, after surviving a German work camp during W.W. II, he was taken from his native Poland during the war, when he got to America he became a member with a Polish student organization in Chicago. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served overseas in the Korean War. He became a U.S. citizen on March 22, 1955 and married on April 2, 1961 to his late wife Halina nee Rajm; loving father of Eva Kozlowski-Lazzara, Paul (Michele) Kozlowski and Monica (Scott) Kwarcinski; proud grandfather of Phillip, Alexander, Nicholas, Gregory, Connor, Alexa, Zach and Finley; dearest brother of Zofia Kazon and Edward Kozlowski; also survived by a mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday, February 12th, 9:45 a.m. from Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave. (corner of Natoma) Chicago, to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 64th & Kilbourn, Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles. Member of James Zientek A.L. #419.
