Robert George Zagone, 78; brilliant magician and business entrepreneur; of Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood, died peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Robert’s slight-of-hand superseded all others on the planet. He was the owner of Zagone’s Magic and Novelty Shop and co-founder of Be Something Studios, a Halloween mask-manufacturing company in Chicago. He was a prayerful man with a generous heart and all the jokes.
Robert was loved and cared for by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor. Loving father of Dean Zagone and Dena (Joe) Bronowich, adoring grandfather (“Papa Bobby”) of Terra, Tyler, Leia, Noah, and Dylan. Survived by older brother Phil and older sister Mary Most. The birth of his cherished great-grandson Atlantis allows his legacy to thrive.
Visitation Tuesday, January 17, 4-8pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, 60625. Funeral mass Wednesday, January 18, 11am at St. Pascal Catholic Church, 3935 N. Melvina Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. Burial to follow.
