Robert was born on April 1, 1944, to Robert and Mary Elizabeth Pike in Star Junction, Pennsylvania. After Robert graduated from Cleveland West High School, he went on to study Political Science and Law and play college baseball at Kent State University. He was drafted and served in Vietnam for the United States Army and was awarded the Commendation Medal, Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his bravery and dedication to the United States. He went on to work for the government at the Railroad Retirement Board and was a lifelong super fan of the Cleveland Browns.
Robert was preceded in death by Robert and Mary Elizabeth Pike (parents), Anita Pike (wife), Deborah (sister) and Jim Davis and Donald Woike. He is survived by Barbara Woike (sister) and his children, Robert (son) and Tarin Pike, Rachel (Pike) McMillin (daughter) and Robert McMillin. Grandchildren Brent, Blaine, and Beau McMillin, Corin Pike and Josephine Pike.
At Robert’s request a private service will be held. Robert will be dearly missed and wanted to leave a final quote in his passing: “As you look down from Heaven onto all of the fields you ever set foot upon, I hope you smile at the lives you have touched and the legacy you have left. May God place his hand on your shoulder and say, “Well done”.
