Billy, you were really the sweetest natured little boy an aunt could ever wish for.  I have so many fond memories of you, you worked so hard even when things were not easy and did so with a such a positive attitude it was an inspiration.  I have very fond memories of one afternoon where you tried to 'rescue’ Charlotte from a wooden bench that had fallen on her and your determination to hold it up until help arrived.  The same afternoon you were determined to learn how to skip and whilst laughing at your mistakes you kept going until you finally achieved it.  

You took this tenacity and approach into adult life, working as a teacher and choosing to work in areas where children needed much support to help their life chances.  You always worked to make a positive impact and leave people and the world the better for knowing you.  Leaving this world so early is a sad loss to us all and being your aunt makes me very proud.  
Brooke, Maggie, Tracey and Nigel will feel a huge gap going forward without you and I hope they can find comfort in the legacy you have left in making the world a better place.  We all love you and miss your presence in our lives xxx


Bill hired me to teach in May of 2019 at GT. I will always remember the pure kindness and gentleness of Bill’s nature. I also learned so much from Bill in how to be a good teacher and how to lead a classroom. Having only a certificate and zero prior teaching experience, Bill took a chance on me. He saw something in me that eventually led me to having confidence in myself and trusting God’s path in life. I pray that I will one day have the opportunity to bless someone the way Bill was a blessing to me. My heart goes out to all his loved ones. May he Rest In Peace. 

I worked with him for 5 years and received emails from him almost every day, as well as texts at least twice a week. I still can't believe it, can't believe it... I still genuinely think he went on vacation and will return one day... I can't imagine the anguish and sorrow that his lovely wife Brooke and his family are undergoing. 

He was one of the best coworkers and teachers, as well as the best coordinator; he was understanding, thoughtful, helpful, a giver, friendly, humorous, caring, humble, and one of the best people with a beautiful and warm heart. I am lucky to have the opportunity to work closely with him. Bill, you will never be forgotten, and I already miss you.

Bill was such a kind, caring, thoughtful, fun, and outgoing friend. My heart aches for Brooke and Maggie during this incredibly difficult time. Bill will be missed by so many. 

Bill was simply an extraordinarily good person. It is devastating that the world has lost him let alone his family who he brought such joy to. My heart goes out to you and always will.

Bill is the best teacher I have ever met with a great sense of humor. Very empathetic. I'm sorry for your loss.

I still cannot believe. Bill was an amazing teacher. Always calm, helpful and happy. I will miss his hilarious sense of humor. He made GT a very special place to study. Deeply condolences for the family. Rest In Peace.

Bill is a very kind person.  He is the one who supports the students.  and take care of everyone  So when I study at GT, it makes me happy.  I a m very happy to study here. There will be no one to greet the students who came from that room from now on. I will always remember Bill's smile.

We all loved Bill and his personality and what he brought to our family. I always enjoyed getting to visit with him and Brooke. Brooke and Maggie we love you both so much. We will have a hole in our hearts and in our family now. We will miss you, but will see you some day again. 

I don’t know how to say this.. still can’t believe it.. I still remember all the comments that students wrote about him on the survey after each class with him. Many students said that he is the best teacher and I agree with that. He was a really good teacher for me and for many other students. He always cared about each student in the classes and led to a good atmosphere. I also remember all the jokes that he mentioned during classes and even the hamburger that he draw to explain how to write the essay.. I will remember how good of a person he was. I am deeply sorry for his family’s loss. 

Bill was a terrific teacher. I can still hear his booming voice giving lessons from across the hall. He could always be counted on to be calm and helpful during what I might have thought was a crisis. I will miss his humor and good advice. Bill was definitely a family man. I recall his tales of long car trips visiting family in Wyoming and Oklahoma with baby in tow even in a blizzard. I will miss him.

Mr. Bill was a great person, he knew how to manage the little worries of each student. He was the first person I spoke with in this school and he helped me acclimate and find the best things to do for me to progress.

   His sacrifices don’t go unnoticed. He was always there for help and to answer our questions, and good unforgettable memories such as the activities to Shedd Aquarium and Chicago Bulls Game in United Center.

Bill was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He went above and beyond at GT to make students feel welcomed. As a new teacher he gave me helpful feedback and resources to help me to grow as a teacher. He will be greatly missed! Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for his family and future students who will not have the pleasure of having him as a teacher. 

Bill was a best teacher and wonderful person, he always knew what help students need. He liked to share his life with students after class time and always solved students’ embarrassing things in a humorous way.  I am very grateful to Bill for all his help. Bill, you shone too brightly and helped us too much. For you it was commonplace, but for us, it was really important. We appreciate the time you gave us and pray for your soul. Rest in peace Bill, the man with a big heart.

Bill was a wonderful teacher. He was always paid attention to students' issues and solved the problem right aways without waiting time. He will be missed. I sent my prayer to his beautiful family in the name of Jesus! 

Bill was one of the best directors I have ever known. He always made sure everything at GT was taken care of even when times were difficult with COVID. His perseverance always prevailed. Though I have been teaching at GT for only two  and half years, he always served as a great mentor and always accommodating if anything personal, or classroom setting was proving difficult. My prayers go out to his  family. GT has indeed lost a wonderful  person, it won’t be the same without Bill, but we will continue his memory. God bless. 

Bill was a wonderful and caring person, his classes were always fun and entertaining because he taught in a beautiful way. He will always be remembered as a kind soul, my condolences to his wife and daughter Maggie.
