Abson, Robert L., was a WWII Veteran, Corporal U.S. Army Air Force. He was born on March 24, 1926, and was age 93 when he died on December 24, 2019. Robert was married 36 years to Betty (nee Maier) until her death in October 1997. He was survived by his nephew Myles Gehrke; nieces: Pam Flasza, Denise Martin; and other great-nephews and nieces. Robert was a graduate of George Williams College, June 1951; BS Group Work Ed; Minor Physical Education. He was a 33 year P.E. Teacher with CPS, Grades K-8. He was an active member in North Austin and Zion Lutheran Churches. Robert was active in Local, State, Midwest, and National Physical Education Programs. Also active in recreational Folk Dancing since the late 1940's.
