Our condolences to the Riberal Family for the loss of their loved Richard.

Grew up across the stret from Ritchie on Lakewood. Had many a laugh just hanging in the garage behind his house when he worked on cars, whether someone else's or one of the many beaters I bought over the years he laughed at. Plenty of good times and laughs. Miss you my neighbor. RIP.

I will never forget as kids the great times Rich and I had on the block.  Rich had a beautiful 5 speed Schwinn bicycle that we all just wanted to ride. He would shout out "hot rides, get your hot rides ". Then he would say "tomorrow ". Even though he was just teasing, we always had great times with all the brothers and fireworks. Thanks for the great memories and RIP.

I was 11 in this picture in 1988. The next time I visited Chicago you took me for a drive around town.
When I think of you, it made me smile remembering the first time you let me drive your sports car around  to see the city - I was 16 then!... Wow, vroom, vroom.  You were such fun to be with, we both loved to eat and  know the right places to get the best burgers and pizza and the famous Chicago hotdog.

I'll never forget you Rich,  it hurts to think you're gone.

Rest in peace big guy.  My memories of you live on in my heart.

My baby brother was more than my brother. He was my best friend. I will forever miss his early morning calls and text messages. I think he was trying to show that he was up early so he could start his day. I will miss his messages telling me of a sale or an event. I won't miss his emergency calls to pickup Erica, his beautiful daughter because he was running late. I will miss his invites to holiday dinners. 

One thing that I ask God, is why he took Rich and not me. I am the oldest. Rich had so much to live for. His plans of a future with his devoted girlfriend, Jeanne. Plans of buying a house together. His devotion to his daughter, Erica. His plans of retirement.

Everything came to an abrupt end. Rich is now in heaven. With mom and dad and all of the relatives and friends. 

I burn candles in my fireplace and on the mantel  so he can look down and watch over me. I am still crying for you.

Rest in HEAVEN. I will miss you forever. I love you Rich....

I met Rich in Seneca over 20 years ago. We’ve been friends ever since. He was the nicest guy and a great father. He loved his daughter dearly.  Also he was the glue that held his family together. Rich loved his girlfriend Jeanne very much. She made him very happy..  I still can’t believe he’s gone. He was the brother I never had. Rich, rest  in peace my dear friend. I will cherish the times we had.  

It was year 1993 taken at Riberal’s Home with Mom (Naty Gomez) Aunt Linda and the 3 sons Richard,Arthur & Paul me and sister Rowena & Husband Mike It was snowing heavily that day but still managed to see each others especially Richard was so busy with his towing business I can say that he’s  a kind of person that when in time of emergency he’s always there to help I really owe him a lot and I can’t forget that,and will remains in my heart forever especially now  that he is gone You are always in my prayers Richard me and Carol will gonna missed you so much it hurts to say Goodbye but it’s all God’s will. Mom & Aunt Linda‘s waiting for you . Rest In Peace …

In this picture, my cousins Richard & family, and Arthur drove overnight to Michigan to catch the wake service and funeral of my late husband Mike.  I was emotionally touched by their presence & thoughtfulness proving how important family is to them. This gathering although at a sad time, lightened our mood with their visit and allowed us time to catch up and reminisce on many happy memorable family gatherings past.
My daughter Katrina and I remember her Uncle Richard fondly on our many visits to Chicago as a little girl fondly calling him ‘Big Bird’ (from Sesame Street).
Richard, we were all saddened by your sudden death.  You may be gone but you will forever be in our hearts. Our fond thoughts of you made us smile & delights us because sweet memories of you live on.  We will miss you terribly ‘you big lumbering oaf’.  We love you – Rest In Peace, Cousin.

I was eleven years old when I met this family. Paul was a baby and I just wanted to take him for walks. This is when I became part of the family.  Arthur was born and then a few years later Richard was born. Yes, I became their baby sister. I had more fun with these boys than you can imagine. I took them everywhere mom Linda would let me. I still can remember the day she called me up panicky "Delores can you please come over the boys will not listen to me" When I got to the house three boys were sitting on the couch with Hugh eyes like I was the police. I got them ready and off to Lincoln Ave we went to our favorite place to have hamburgers and phosphate. When I married Richie was 6 years old and he was the cutest ever ring bearer in our wedding. I never forgot about this family in fact they were best friends with my children. Richie was the closest to our daughters especially Tammy. Richie would come and visit us here in Appleton, Wisconsin. We would talk on the phone. Always had a great relationship. I call these three my boys. Richie you are the best! You were a kind, sweet and a
wonderful person and daddy. We will miss you so much. I Love You, Richie!                  

Rich was an amazing friend to myself and my husband, Haywood. He was so kind and thoughtful and always there for Haywood. They talked many times a day and I always wondered how they had that much to talk about! He will be missed so much! My prayers are with the family, especially his daughter. To be absent from the earth is to be present with the Lord. God blessed him with a wonderful life.
