Ramon Sanchez, 94, of Chicago, WWII & Korean war veteran served with The Borinqueneers, Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment. Passed away on Friday March 4, 2016. Born in Puerto Rico on July 10, 1921 to Francisco and Rafaela (nee Gonzalez); beloved husband of the late Aida N. (nee Ortega) Sanchez; devoted father of Eddie, Isolde (Joseph) Schroeder, Humberto (Melissa), Judith (Victor) Marrero and Debra Sanchez; loving grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 11 and great great great grandfather of 3; dear brother of Perin, Ester and Carmen; fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday March 9, 2016 from 3-9pm at The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home 6901 W. Belmont Avenue Chicago where prayers will be said 9:00am Thursday to Resurrection Church for a 10:00am mass. Cremation Private.
